Sir Lance, While it is true that ONE of WSTL's modem solutions uses Alcatel's dynamite chip, they also have modem solutions that use ADI and LU chips which do license from AWRE. The WSTL modem with the Ala chip is being deployed by providers such as Bell Atlantic who is using the ALA solution in their CO. WSTL went with ALA because ALA has gotten such a large share of the CO contracts in US, Europe and elsewhere. All the best, Michael
