IMO you are just a pretentious social snob. I hope you never have to eat lunch with Stephen Hawking, or with my former dean who was blind and had Parkinson's disease. What a mess that was. Table manners are reflections of class membership. I have eaten sheep eyeballs with a shiek without puking, and had pretty girls wipe their greasy fingers on my hair. I have eaten chicken stew with my fingers along with the village chief while holding his naked youngest child. Lighten up! Enjoy the gorgeous mosaic of human behavior. Don't try to impose your narrow views on other people. Keep your standards as high as you wish. But live a little --- enjoy, be tolerant, and live a little.
