Correct me if I'm wrong, I think this the first sale of Resolve Ni (BT)
How do we expect existing customers of Resolve Si to stack purchases of the new Resolve Ni ?
When you can effectively manage end-to-end, why not go for performance management ?

Old Press Release:
Wednesday August 11, 12:20 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release CrossKeys Meets Target for General Availability of its Network Performance Management Software: CrossKeys Resolve Ni software available for general deployment worldwide KANATA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 11, 1999--CrossKeys Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: CKEY - news; TSE: CKY - news) today announced the general availability of CrossKeys Resolve© Ni -- its new network performance management application within the CrossKeys Resolve portfolio. Service providers are now deploying CrossKeys Resolve Ni software to analyze and improve the performance of their telecommunication networks.
CrossKeys Resolve Ni software recognizes that the key to a service provider's success is effective management and control of the network. In May, the software began and recently completed extensive field testing with major service providers in North America and Europe. This real-life testing played a major role in bringing the software to general availability status on-schedule and with fully-tested features that will enable service providers to better understand network performance through multi-layer views of indicators such as traffic, availability, inventory and capacity.
``CrossKeys Resolve Ni is an example of CrossKeys new products and initiatives that answer our customer's needs for carrier-scale solutions,' says Ian McLaren, President and Chief Executive Officer, CrossKeys. ``Now with the general availability of CrossKeys Resolve Ni software completing the CrossKeys Resolve portfolio, we are unique in offering an integrated view of both network and service management that meets the demands of the world's largest service providers.'
The demand for network intelligence software has never been greater. Network operators face ever-increasing demands to support new telecom applications, increased traffic and converging technologies for voice and data, all in a highly competitive marketplace. Test sites deploying the software reported exceptional satisfaction with the product in addressing these requirements.
CrossKeys Resolve Ni software manages multi-vendor networks transporting multiple technologies, such as asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), Frame Relay and Internet Protocol (IP). Pricing for the software is based on the number of elements within a network it manages. Elements include switches, paths, nodes and routers. Typical installations are in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, with site licenses available for larger networks.
With the general availability of the software, plans and development are already underway for the next generation of the application, as demanded by CrossKeys customers. Planned enhancements to CrossKeys Resolve Ni software include extending the multi-vendor capability to manage Lucent, Nortel and Cisco gear, and increasing its scalability testing to upwards of 500,000 elements.
