(OT) Lynn, I've read with great interest and empathy about your recent bouts with joint pain. Seems you can take all the Tylenol and Ibuprofin in the world and still get no relief. In March 1998, I started having severe pain in both knees. I went to an orthopedic specialist after having seen two GPs with no improvement. Turns out I had torn cartilage in both knees and had arthroscopic surgery on both at the same time in June '98. I was supposed to be fully rehabed within 3 months. By October '98 my situation had not appreciably improved. I had a dental apointment in early October and during the treatment, I mentioned all this to my dentist. He asked whether I was taking a dietary supplement called Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Turns out his brother is a orthopedic surgeon out in California and told my dentist about it. My dentist was having pain in his hips and knees. He told me it helped him tremendously, so I gave it a try. This stuff really does work. I've been taking it since that very day he told me about it. I have been a mailman for over 20 years and walk an average of 6 miles daily. Many hundreds of steps up and down porches each day. I am working 8 hours each day and feel great. I will turn 51 next week and have many customers on my route (older and younger than I) who also told me about G&C. They all swear by it. Best of all, you don't have to take my word for it as you can check it out all over the net for yourself. I use Schiff's Pain Free brand. It takes about 2 or 3 months for you to be able tell whether it's helping. Please don't think I'm a schill for some medical company. My wife, Donna, also reads this thread and thought I should share this with you because she has seen the difference it has made for me. With love and prayers from DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS.
