Wednesday said it plans an early access release of its Solaris Operating Environment for Intel Corp.'s IA-64 Architecture this fall to key independent software vendors.> This has to be a mistake. Sun has UltraSPARC III (maybe next year). SOLARIS is a very popular OS with IT and web people. Sun and McNealy view Intel as the enemy. MerDUD is nothing but something to make your toast with. MerDUD is late, and therefore invalid. Merced cannot possibly have superior benchmarks to Athlon. I rest my case... Sorry for the Scumbria impersonation. This is a good piece of information actually.
