The government of Canada is in this one up to their necks.
And they are standing in some pretty smelly stuff.
All players are Liberals in the Onex camp so the party is on. Air Canadas' Brass may of been a little too slow at execution of an obvious plan but I believe they are focused.

Shwartz is for money--their focus is the bottom line which is good for shareholders.

We must remember though that He never or Onex never made any indication of taking over Air Canada till Its Brass (Air Canada Brass) got contracts in place by all of its unions. Its easy now to talk tough. And indicate how slow Air Canadas management has been getting shareholders value plus play arm chair quarterback on other issues that would promote Onex's bid.

The machinists union now has put the government on notice--So lets see how much power Swartz has with Chretien and his followers to pull off the coup and take over Air Canada.

I think Air Canadas management has had to walk on thin ice because of the Canadian government . Vultures like Schwartz's Onex just thrive of this. I betya Jean and He will toast something together this weekend.

The machinists and whatever other unions there are involved in this will really begin to apply pressure and rightfully so as The Government of Canada's backing of American Airlines and Onexs bid to buy out Air Canada at such a ridiculous price has opened up a can of worms.

As a Shareholder I am excited and I presently back Air Canada and its present direction. I want to continue as a shareholder. Look at how well the CNR is doing now --..
And I think its still Canadian--Air Canada does not need American Airlines or Onex to succeed.
I as a shareholder and a Canadian feel One Airline--Canadian Owned--with a proud share value..
