Dan3, I am not a techie. I would never even pretend that I understand all of the technical jargon. You remind me of someone... the guy who said in seeing a train go by at 65 miles per hour in 1895 "man will never go faster than 65 miles an hour, or they will disintegrate". As to your analogy: Rambus is like transparent automobile tires filled with goldfish. Depending on your taste, it may look neat, and it's an amazing technical accomplishment, but it doesn't do much for performance. My analogy: Rambus is like a racecar. Zooming around the track at 450 mph. Wait just a second...there is another entry...lo and behold...it is SRAM going around at 150 mph. Performance? Well, DUH. Been wondering about something? Would you be good enough to answer my question? Does AMD actually pay you to sit at your computer 24 hrs. per day bad mouthing every other better/faster technology? Glenda King
