Talked to a banker at one of the local big bank chains. He noted that FEDs are going to pump 50 billion into banking system to prepare for Y2K. All ATMs will be loaded with only $20 bills (no 5s or 10s) so that they will "Run Out" less frequently. On the other hand, coworker has a wife that helps manages a small privately owned bank and they have apparently not received any direction to load up on excess Federal Cash.
