Two move up at LSI Logic . .

MILPITAS, Calif. -- LSI Logic Corp. here has made two executive
appointments in its marketing department. Mark Wadlington, a
13-year veteran of LSI Logic Corp., has named vice president and
general manager for Asia-Pacific, while Jeff Wolf, who has been
managing the Asia Pacific region, was named vice president of
marketing for the company's Consumer Products Division.

Wadlington, who will report to Rick Marz, executive vice president
of LSI Logic Geographic Markets, will be responsible for all sales
activities in Australia, China, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
Asia-Pacific represents LSI Logic's second largest sales region.

"Mark's outstanding knowledge of the semiconductor market
combined with his strong sales aptitude have proven to be a
valuable asset in dealing with our customers," remarked Marz. "We
expect Mark to continue this success in expanding our leadership in
the Pan Asia markets."

Wadlington joined LSI Logic in 1986 as an engineer in the Test
Operations Organization. He has has held positions in engineering,
technical services, and strategic marketing. In 1990, Wadlington
joined the sales division where he managed several of LSI Logic's
major accounts such as Sun Microsystems, and has also served as
the regional sales manager for Silicon Valley.

As head of marketing for consumer products, Wolf will oversee the
marketing efforts for the LSI Logic's advanced digital technology
products, particularly digital video compression and decompression,
error correction and digital demodulation. These are targeted
set-top boxes for satellite and cable systems, digital cameras, DVD
and interactive video games.

"Jeff's extensive background in the Asia Pacific region, a dynamic
growth area for consumer products, makes him uniquely qualified
for the job," said Elias Antoun, executive vice president of LSI
Logic's Consumer Products Division.

Wolf has been with LSI Logic for 14 years, holding positions in
system design engineering and field applications engineering as well
as sales and marketing.
