Haim; I did basically the same but not exactly, I had bought XLF
since Monday and had a lot more of it than I really
wanted. Each time it ticked down a 1/16th I was buying , my last
at 23, so before the open I put 1/2 up for sale at 23-3/4..
Now I have to say something nice about waterhouse at this point,
I got a price improvement on my limit order..to 23 61/64th
tahts over 20 cents better than I was willing to accept, for that
half. After that went, I kept watching and like you I took 23 15/16
for the balance, and I no sooner sold it & I saw her go to
24 1/8, it's funny but in my wiggling they gave me more a 1/64th
more on the open than I took for the balance. Well I needed
the gap up to offset my stupid bet on INTC puts, and I'm back
to mostly cash now, except for my PPT, ( I like that monthly
dividend ) it pays for all my margin costs, and then
some.
Jim
