Around here, such questions are a matter of religion. My religion in such matters is Ford. I have owned a Ford Explorer and a Ford Mustang. The explorer is a truck. It was very dependable. I have generally heard people think that Ford's are more reliable and a little more solid. I have a friend that just dumped his full size Chevy pickup after it lost its third transmission. He went to a full-size Toyota.

But price would be very important.

Are you talking about a full size pickup or a small one? I can get more informed opinions. We have a large fleet of the small pickups which consists of nearly everything under the sun.
