Apple looks to be getting some positives from all of these rumors/news of buyouts and mergers...keeps the street watching closely anyways...

A SUNW merger sounds interesting to me...so does the the Ellison takeover...and so does the Prince of Appleton...

Apple is still a good company...it is obvious to many...I mean, they still have BILLIONS of dollars in Revenues coming in, so it's not like they are not moving any product...

What they do need to do is streamline, and re-structure...ie, this is what they have been dong for the past year...this will once again lead them to profitability, IMHO...

I'm sure that is what all of these other see as well...a huge company, very capable of making huge profits...even with current or slightly lower revenues...

I think "soup" made some great points the past couple of days on how Apple can gain back some of their lost market share...let's hope Apple is working on some of thes same ideas...

I'm not an investor currently, but have been watching Apple for some time now...I've always wanted them to kick Microsoft's butt...even though last year I broke down and bought a Wintel machine...the guilt is often overwhelming!

I will, however, be buying a Powerbook if I can run compatible programs on my PC at home...

Looking hard, and hoping for the best for Apple...

John
