I've been looking at SUV's to accommodate my back problem. Toyota, besides being the rudest sales associates in the business, are impossible for people with nerve damage to get into.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee I could get into and it was a nice ride but too friggin' expensive.

The Izuzu Trooper was OK to get into but my back was killing me after driving it. Looks like a SUV dressed up to go to the prom. Nadda.

The Lexus RX300 was by far the most comfortable for my back problem, easy as pie to get into and rides like a dream. Probably not for the off road enthusiasts but those looking for and SUV look but a comfortable ride should seriously consider this one.

The Chevey, ick. Not comfy.

The Nissan I haven't tried.

The Ford Explorer Limited is not as good as the Lexus but the price is better and it is very comfy with all of the bells and whistles that Lexus provides. A little difficult to get into with that running board but as I get better it won't be much of a problem. Drives real well and has power with that V8 engine. I wouldn't get an SUV without a V8 engine.

My .02 which probably doesn't count for .01.

Helpful hint. Ever noticed when you go to a car lot you are attacked by a sales associate within a half second of stepping on the lot? Well, to cure that take a cane with you. Even if you want some help they won't come after you - especially at Toyota.
