Followed VMAX for awhile. Illinois is investigating the industry as a whole. Constituents not too fond of high loan rates so politicians make headlines by bashing. Story in 9-2-99 Chi Tribune about possible additional regulation of industry. But that is all long term concerns thanks to the painfully slow movements of government. Short term it is a nifty little business.
