Lucretius,

Week 2 of several weeks comparison of DELL vs. AU.
And at no additional commission I've included the Naz

tscn.com

Commentary: AU made some impressive moves early in the week in the wake of faltering prices in both the Nazdaq and DELL. Investors cited profit taking, interest rate fears and Federal Reserve market manipulation driving the markets down. By Tuesday morning AU was threatening to take the lead over DELL, but investors saw a buying opportunity which propelled DELL through most of the week to close at the two week period high. A buyer's frenzy occurred on Friday sending the Nazdaq up nearly 4% and regaining the earlier lead over AU. Many investors were so encouraged by the strength of the market into earlier trading Friday afternoon that investors sent AU into positive territory. Though in the face of a likely Labor Day rally, AU investors chose to take profits going into the weekend, while stock bulls rode their confidence ... buying into the close.

For the two-week period (some rounding)
Dell - UP 15%; Closing at 49 7/16
AU - UP 6% Closing at 26 1/16
Nazdaq - UP 7% Closing at 2843

On another note QCOM (down 3 7/8)investors were relieved to see a quick bounce off the 50 day EMA at 160, frustrating short sellers of QCOM. However, short sellers said that they were confident that any weakness on "the bulls day" should be seen as a reaffirmation of their position.

Best Regards,
Jim
