Vendit, I have simply one question. This is an honest question that I do not have the answer to and would like to hear your thoughts. At the same time that many conservatives say that Regan strived to shrink the national debt, over the objections of a liberal congress, the facts do not seem to support that scenario. The historical record shows that over his presidency, Regan asked for $16.1 billion dollars more in spending than was passd by Congress. I simply do not understand the debate on who is to blame for the national debt. It would seem to be a matter of historical fact, but debate persists. I would like to hear why you blame the debt of Congress.
