Howdy Blue, that raising of the center pole of your friends house must have been such a wonderful moment. You recently said something about wishing you were born 150 years ago, and I know what you mean. The problem I have staying interested on the computer is it's not making anything by hand except for (well yes, money IS doubleplusgood) typing writing or going to someplace. While that's fascinating in itself, it's really a "headtrip" -rarely has work in letters and numbers ever given me such exhaustive satisfaction that making something beautiful and functional from raw materials with my eyes brain body and hands all working for the same thing at once gives. I've never been in on the building of a home from scratch, it must be profound. I was just thinking how much the stuff I do now takes me farther and farther away from such necessary simplicity; for instance finding myself buying what I used to take a long time to do myself more often the busier I get with such modern work. Going on this cruise got me in touch with some of that side of me again; I was on that beautiful liner having fun, yet sometimes being annoyed by the formalities and complexities and bustling and noise of it. Wishing it were a simpler classic design instead of Vegas Afloat. Wishing it could just be darkened at night (while logically knowing that wouldn't be safe) to better see the stars. Next time we voyage it'll be more like a smaller ship with more wood and no disco lights all over the place. Maybe even sails (as long as we could get a private bath which from what I've seen so far isn't easy to do on those. For reasons of group harmony by preserving distance as much as privacy or sanitation if you know what I mean, I think private bathrooms among strangers traveling together would be a necessity especially in our times). I want to compliment you on the way you can balance your many-faceted brilliant self by alternately Techriding and Doing Your Mountain Man Thing. No wonder those beautiful critters of your'n talk to you and make it their business to try to tell you what they think the market will do. Because you've made it your business to get into Their Thing, looks like possibly they're trying to understand Yours while being grateful to you for making their wild life possible. They can probably tune into energies that no one would suspect they can. Thus, the market omens they show you. Thanks for sharing these magical messages - Bellewethers which are Right so much more often than not. I think they MUST understand what you're doing for them, Blue. I wouldn't be surprised if they understand more than we'd ever know about HOW you're able to afford to give them their habitat, too. And they talk to you in their own way because you know how to listen. For all we know they can read our minds. Those "Mission" posts of mine were a twilight daydream I had half-napping before dinner after laughing my head off at that "Canadian Aft Salute"...it's always ultimately impossible to say if something like that could have been a vision illustrating something really going on in an area of Techride interest or just a fun mind goof. But I've known you long enough to know your tales of the animal signs you interpret are for real. Omens- My daughter saw a giant jellyfish. And I saw a huge fish shadow underwater, swimming alongside for awhile. It never did surface or blow, so it wasn't a whale. Saw something beautiful and mysterious last night....we were somewhere off Massachusetts... sitting on the terrace, my daughter was playing her guitar, we were watching the ocean and sky. Suddenly There It Was.... Clear Skies with Misty Clouds... Seen This One So Many Times All My Life...In A Cloud that looks like it might be thin so that's why the stars can be seen through it...looks like the stars are moving and changing position as the cloud reveals then hides them....suddenly realizing why would there be more and denser stars twinkling and moving semi-obscured in that area of cloud than can be seen in the clear parts of the sky? Funny thing, usually when I see this I just give myself to the enjoyment of watching stars dance...not analyzing it or thinking about it til later....of course it could be reflections or cloud mirages or magnification effects, or maybe not. It looked like a low-hanging moving nebula in a cloud. Ever see these? 909s on The Space Links... Nanhu-Nanhu from Your Long Tine Friend, Joanie |
