Frank,
Tell me what you think after another 20 years of experience and maybe you will be worthy to challenge my long time knowledge.
Another difference of opinion! My nearly 50 years of life experience has taught me quite a few things. First, the body of knowledge that I don't know is a lot larger than the fraction of knowledge that I do have. Second, people have different experiences and observations than I do and that I can and should consider those observations regardless of time spent experiencing life; I don't [or I at least hope not to] demean individuals on the basis of their "limited" experiences. Third, sometimes perceptions [including my own] and conventional wisdom can be quite different than reality. Fourth, more often than not, rantings of conspiracies, political rhetoric, et al, are specious, i.e., they are only plausible at the surface but actually false.
IF I held the view, as a bull, that the Fed manipulated markets to diminish my wealth and observed that some bears asserted that the Fed manipulates the markets to prop up the markets...it would probably bring into question whether either one of us is right.
Best Regards, Jim |
