I agree with you that we shouldn't ignore B2C simply because the arena will be much smaller than B2B. As investors, we're more likely to understand the impact of a technology on consumers because, in Peter Lynchian fashion, all of us are consumers. Our judgements about B2C commerce might be very much on the mark whereas our judgement about B2B commerce will likely prove to have a few more flaws that come to light over time.
