PB,

<<Clearly my short term takes on Intel stink. With that caveat...>
Charles, would you please clarify this statement?

Do you mean, a) you think Intel's short term prospects stink, or b) that your short term takes on INTC share price movements stink, or c) both of the above.

Just want to make sure I know where you're coming from.>

I think Intel's short term prospects (q3) are good (not great but good - I am expecting lower ASPs and higher volumes). But, I think the next year to two are going to be bad. I think INTC is doing what MU did a few years back (94?) - i.e. peak right now and not see that high again for years to come. I am trying to catch the peak - no luck so far.....

I used to limit myself to long-term investments until recently. Since my earlier than planned retirement (thought I would do it when I get in to my 40s), with a lot of time to spare, I am trying my hand at trading and so far I have been doing fine with most stocks with the glaring exception of INTC.

Chuck

P.S.: I am finding that it takes a lot of discipline to be a trader and investor at the same time. Don't think it is good thing to do unless one has a lot of time dedicated for tracking stuff.
