Fooled on a day of fools, ah, what a jest. The joker lurks, waiting for the innocent to peer in his direction. But alas, another victim approaches. With a smirk of curiousity, and glimmer of want, the victim draws nearer. Each step bringing anticipation closer to his heart. From out of the shadow the Joker appears. The victim gasps, his eyes in amazement. With a gasping breath he points at the joker, waving his finger and saying, It's YOU, it's YOU !!. The joker chuckles and says, " Yes, it is I, I who you have been seeking all your life, I that has been at your mercy since conception, and I who, you have scorned since your first words have been spoken". The victim turns and runs with a fury. Running and running into the early morning light. Out of breath and muscles weary, he stops. With his last breath he lets out a cry that echos and resonates through out the city, "The world be damned, for I AM the Joker !! " |
