Amigos, I am afraid that due to time constraints, I will not be able to maintain the portfolio in the future.

Thanks to everyone for participating in this portfolio experiment. What have we accomplished? The first thing that comes to mind is that the portfolio blended different styles and market approaches together, proving that there is credence in the belief that diversification improves performance.

Secondly, I think that we demonstrated that adhering to a trading discipline can be very helpful in beating the market. In each case where a stock fell below 20% of the purchase price, the position never became profitable again.

Hope to continue chatting with everyone. I'll be sure to visit you all in your individual threads, elsewhere in SI, in PMs, e-mail, private conversations or perhaps even in person, in the future. In the words of that famous Croatian philosopher, Goran Ivanisovich (sp) "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE."
