I guess I see things very differently. What the
next generation IXCs need is to be taken over
by the ILECS or to take them over, like
QWST + USW ( + BLS ????). Within this context,
non-facilities based CLECs such as Covad, Rythms,
and Northpoint face an uncertain future. Some
of the facilities-based CLECs such as NXLK and WCII
will try to morph themselves into min-WCOMs, and others
such as TGNT will probably be bought by an old-line
IXC.
