SFE was primarily focused on the "IT" environment long before the Internet came along. They invested in ICGE not only because of their business plan proposition, but also because at the time the Internet stocks were going AWOL and ICGE brought together a fantastic management team, of which a member of the SFE team had joined.

ICGE is and was always more focused on the Internet and commerce in the eWorld than SFE. SFE is still trying to strike a balance between the traditional IT world and the emerging euphoria of the Internet space. They fit very well together, though on some levels there is competition. Musser realizes, however, that going forward SFE will have a much more diversified portfolio. And I think that's the way he'd prefer it regardless.
