Hi Lewis, You could be right. But what is ATS311? No, I am not in Santa Clara or Sunnyvale (not too far tho). If that's where they tested R2, I am not in it. But your explanation of nearing a WAP doesn't seem to be able to explain performance improvement I experienced just recently, unless they have added a new WAP nearby. Otherwise, I tend to believe something else caused it. Could it be that Metricom is deploying R2 in my area? According to the most recent letter (August) from CEO Tim Dreisbach to stakeholders, the R2 network hardware and subscriber devices are ready for production.
