M2: Thanks for the Yardeni synopsis. I find what he said about earnings expectations being too high interesting. A "theory" as to why the market often seems to "correct" in the Sept.-Oct. area is because analysts often start off the year being very optimistic about earnings only to lower their estimates around the beginning of Q4. This year, however, analysts are expected to raise their estimates going into Q4 because Q3 earnings will be verrry good and they started out the year with lower expectations than usual.

I think 2000 will be a record year (to the upside <ggg>) in the market because all of this Y2K crap will be out of the way.
