Given the recent events and unfolding drama surrounding Freeport McMoran, all junior mining companies have in their "grab bag" an accumulation of worthy news items which have been put "on hold" and, I believe, Vulcan is no exception.

1. ONTARIO OIL PLAY

Concerning Vulcan's 12.5% interest in the Ontario play, I would assume that drilling has been completed and futher tests might be needed to determine the "tangibles" needed before communication to shareholders. Notwithstanding, I have not talked with Pat Laracey and do not have anything concrete to share with you concerning this.

2. CARBONEAR JV WITH VISCOUNT

Viscount has operational responsibility for this venture and I have no information concerning, timing, their management plan, publicity initiaties, or other drilling programs of Viscount other than what was released in the Viscount/Vulcan JV press release.

If you read Vulcan's press releases over the past year you will notice that the drilling program has been delayed several times and given the new arrangements it is anybody's guess when actual drilling will occur.

3. HOMING COMING

I agree with you that investors, particularly those on this "side of the pond" will be looking to Newfoundland and Labrador as an arena to develop investment confidence. I believe Vulcan is an attractive investment option for those who have become weary of the volatility of those "come-from-way-away" ventures.

After reading various news releases issued by Vulcan one "gets the feeling" that the management plan is strategicly focused and the management team are a solid and credible group demonstrating unusual commitment and integrity in becoming a significant Newfoundland and Labrador mining producer listed on the stock exchange. I believe its speaks well of them that they specify without overstatement the scope of any of their exploration programs and progress made without a glint of portraying that they are something that they are not. As well, a multi-focused exploration thrust into many of the metal groups (documented in various press releases) along with two seperate and significant oil plays (Ontario and West Coast Newfoundland) speaks well for a company attempting to expand its breath and depth in order to minimize vulnerablity in cyclical and aberrant trends in the market place such as we have witnessed and are currently grimacing over.

I am a shareholder of Vulcan and have no other affinity to this firm but since you query about its potential "looking for a home" I have given you my personal view.
