The Power Of Lego...

I encourage everyone interested in WAVX to visit lego.com, the Lego Web site with especial emphasis on the Lego Media activities.

It is this kind of content that will drive the purchase of USBs and Hauppauge WinTV cards and whatever other peripherals... and eventually set-top boxes...

The can--whether it's your PC or a TV or other device--is a conduit.
The cans, in time, will be given away for free. (This is already happening. And recall the Panasonic executive's quote in this regard.) The conduit will be a kind of ticket that will allow me access to all manner of new kinds of content... and I suspect... contests... and events... and other opportunities.

The Lego deal is HUGE. (I'm not even concerned about the revenues it could generate. It's the credibility and validation that I'm referring to.) The market can't see it. You can. Lego is an extremely innovative company. Consider them among "our" early adopters. Others will follow.

My apologies to SDR and Chooch. I did not know (though shouldn't be surprised) that the N*Able/AMD dots had already been connected. But, in any case, it is sometimes wise to re-surface these things in the light of recent events... such as Steve Olson's reiterated PGE opinion. Further, this is a group effort. Things I post over here have turned up without attribution over at RB. But that doesn't matter. Because it's the "body of knowledge" that counts... and what we're all trying to contribute to. There's plenty of credit to go around.

Best Regards,

c m
