Jon: X-STREAM QUESTION:-What would x-stream have to do to reach a subscriber value of FreeServe at 1500 British Pounds per subscriber? I think if they could achieve it, x-stream's share value could be 10 or 12 times higher than they are presently. I was reading today "Analysts value subscribers to FreeServe, the internet service launched by Dixons, at 1,500 British Pounds (US$2,400) a piece. FreeServe has 1.3 million subscribers and on Friday (Sept 3rd.) the company was worth 1.72 billions pounds (US$2.75 billion). Isn't x-stream's market cap (Sept. 3rd.) (34 million shares issued x US$2.69/share = US$91.46 million).?? But on the other hand, if you multiply FreeServe's subscriber value @ US$2,400/subscriber x 430,000 of X-stream's subscribers you would get US$1.03 billion.?? IF those figures are correct. That's over 10 times x-stream's market cap. X-stream not only has 1/3 FreeServe's subscriber numbers, but the good news is less than 1/3 their shares issued. It wouldn't surprise me if X-Stream has topped in over 450,000 subscribers by now and working on a 1/2 million subscribers. I was also reading BUY.COM (one of America's top retailing companies and a rival to Amazon.com) has moved into Britain and is likely to be thought of as a joint venture with Epartners, a British company. I was surprised to read that Amazon is already established in Britain but it is "vulnerable to a challenge because visitors to its British website are charged higher prices than those who buy from its American site and have to face high Royal Mail Postage charges". Personal computer penetration in Britain is 29% and currently those with PC's, just 15% have net access. I can see why Internet usage is growing at a phenomenal rate in Britain and Europe. Lots of time for x-stream growth in Britain and Europe at this stage. |
