<DJ, Debt is leverage, pure and simple, which increases risk and reward. If business is improving, that debt load can leverage eps. That is a good definition of a speculation. >

Amazon is also a good definition of debt and speculation. Isn't there enough undervalued companies out there that a person doesn't have to take a chance on a company that has one foot in the grave carrying a debt albatross? Wearing a contrarion's hat, I know that somewhere along the line the reward can outweigh the risk. Where do you draw the line between fundamentals and contrarionship?
