SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 1997--

Prescott Valley, Ariz. facility certified by EPA
Alanco Environmental Resources Corp. (NASDAQ:ALAN) Thursday
announced that environmental compliance certification for federal
and state standards has been achieved by Asphalt Paving and Supply
Inc., Prescott Valley.
Alanco was contractually obligated to bring the plant into
compliance with federal Environmental Protection Agency and state
emission standards.
The certified tests for particulate emissions were conducted by
an independent testing laboratory on March 13, 1997, under the
auspices of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. Alanco
previously had announced the achievement of a consistent 99.9 percent
sulfur dioxide removal at the plant with the company's proprietary
Charged Dry Sorbent Injection (CDSI) system. Asphalt Paving and
Supply is now in full compliance with all applicable federal and
state environmental regulations. Alanco intends to continue using
the Prescott Valley plant for additional research and development of
the CDSI technology.
Alanco's revolutionary CDSI technology represents a major
advance in effectiveness and cost savings over existing industrial
SO2 remediation systems.
