Mr. Kahn, I was merely being using the Journal as an example. I agree that it is simply a source of information. I was merely trying to get across the irritation that many of my generation feel about society at large. While finances are important, they seem to have become an overwhelming force. The acquisition of wealth has become an end and not a means. Meanwhile, my generation is being characterized as a decadent, rude, demanding group who wants everything handed to them on a silver platter while the accusers surround themselves with the artifacts of wealth and scream and cry at the slightest mention of taxes for, say, education. In my state the car tax was done away with and no funds were requisitioned to fill the gap. As a consequence, our schools are failing and the reaction has been a series of tests designed to insure accountability. Forgive me for being ever so slightly annoyed, but the Baby Boomer generation seems to my generation to be slightly irrational.
