Felix, From what I can see the staff at CompUSA lack all computer knowledge and routinely come out with negative comments about whatever is not in stock as if it was their managers decision not to have it instead of bad inventory controls. My experience with AMD and Intel CPUs is that they are both solid performers.
I have seen bad runs of mobos(pc chips was notorious) that had trouble with both AMD and Intel in the days when the CPUs were pin for pin the same but I have never seen a mobo that changing from AMD to Intel or vice versa showed one that ran and one that failed. Now mobos are CPU determined and you cannot make a dual brand mobo(celeron=P-II/III).
In addition in retail you find that 50-60% of returns are in full working order, but the people have returned for budgetary reasons.
