When someone responds publicly to one of your posts, you see a (1) next to the "Inbox" on the toolbar. This disappears once you have read the message (this is nothing new....it's been a feature of SI since the old design).

However, the (1) does NOT disappear if you read the response as part of the "View Next 10 Messages" option. It should.

Does this make any sense?
