Compaq trims Japan prices on Prosignia Desktop PCs
TOKYO, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Compaq Computer Corp (NYSE:CPQ - news), the world's largest maker of personal computers (PCs), has cut prices in Japan on its Prosignia Desktop PCs by up to 10 percent, Japanese unit Compaq Computer KK said on Monday.
The high-end Prosignia Desktop 330 has been cut 10 percent to 198,800 yen from 222,000 yen, according to Houston-based Compaq's local unit.
The Prosignia Desktop 320 has been reduced to 95,800 yen, down three percent from 99,000 yen, it said.
Compaq Computer began selling the Prosignia Desktop series in Japan on July 8. It did not disclosed sales targets. |
