Tip, I also run all my purchases through rebate cards. Nary a one of them means much by itself, but it is a nice surprise when that check rolls in after 12 months.

I don't believe in 30 year cycles in money and credit and interest rates. Batra and others act like these are living creatures with lives of their own. I disagree. We control them and they simply display our manic behavior. Which means that regular chartable patterns are coincidental, discovered after the fact and not predictive. His economics are fine in many cases, but he has a tendency toward TA that taints his work. Ditto for Kondratieff.
