I've spent a little time looking over the White Papers on the Intel's Level One website: level1.com

I like the architecture a lot and there is also a full suite of development tools. There are many positives in their design.

However, from a MRVC perspective they may offer some problems as well.
I noticed that the first white paper says the new architecture can deliver "up to 10Gbps system performance". Then I looked at the second white paper and I noticed that their internal packet bus "can move 4.2Gbps at 66 Mhz, and 5Gbps at 80 Mhz". True, they also discuss a crossbar architecture with 8 processors (allowing up to 40Gbps?) I also noticed IBM's processor offers up to 22Gbps.

Noting that Linux Router has a 40Gbps fabric, MetroFusion also has to 40Gbps fabric and Aranea has a 200Gbps fabric (I wonder how they do it), I'm wondering how MRVC can use this technology?

From the Israel article off the CW website:

"How does one make routers stronger? Charlotte's Web designed seven chips for installation on hardware already existing in the market, and software with sophisticated algorithms. "

I'm now wondering if maybe it is INTC/ Level One that can benefit with a follow-on generation of chips using some aspects of MRVC's technology?

If any of the more technical posters out there would care to glance at these white papers and comment as to how MRVC could interact with INTC on this technology, the comments would be appreciated.
