RE "FRO Network map"

I don't think that map (which looks more like an airline map!) is showing FRO's physical as-built network. I think it is showing the Frontier GlobalCenter (FRO's mega web hosting business) carrying backbone. That mass of lines simply shows that GlobalCenter has a number of data centers and they are all connected to each other. Compare to the similar map for Exodus Communications:

exodus.net

Couldn't find a network map for FRO at their website ( frontiercorp.com ).

(Off topic)

Talking of network maps, it is quite fun comparing how QWST's US network map:

qwest.com

so closely resembles Amtrak's network map:

amtrak.com (slow download but nice).

Both networks are of course based on railroad rights of way. Might keep the kids quiet for a few hours today to have them make a list of tracks that QWST doesn't have cable under. ;)
