Insider Selling of DOT Companies (plus PCLN and EBAY) (Fixed Font Version) Here's the list (with a little help from a Visual Basic program I wrote). Below is a table showing total insider selling proceeds for companies that make up the DOT (I've also added PCLN and EBAY, two of my favorite internet stocks). Perhaps what is most striking is that for the group, insiders have made $.95 in proceeds from selling stock for every dollar in revenue - and even more shocking is that insiders made $5053 in proceeds from selling stock for every dollar in net income. Here's an explanation of the columns: Insider (millions): Total proceeds from Insider sales for the past 12 months (from MSN investor site) Rev (millions): Trailing twelve months revenue as reported in July 1999 Rev (millions): Trailing twelve months net income as reported in July 1999 Ins/Rev: Past 12 month insider selling divided by trailing twelve month revenue. This can be interpreted as "Insiders obtained X dollars in proceeds per dollar revenue." Ins/Rev: Past 12 month insider selling divided by trailing twelve month net income. This can be interpreted as "Insiders obtained X dollars in proceeds per dollar net income." For companies that had a loss, this column is labeled NA.
