My point is not that everybody will dump word but there is a market for a simple office product. Got it ... my point (IMHO) was the MS office is the simplest most functional rich text editor. My interpretation of what you are really saying is that you don't use all the functionality that Word offers - in that case maybe consider Wordpad or Notepad. Star office is not simpler - it is very MS office like and has the annoyance of completely taking over the desktop ; even replacing the start menu. Cheers James
