With great emphasis on the fact that this is only opinion... I am a
buyer at anything close to 20. In fact I bought this morning at 20 3/8.
Around that anyway. Of course I am doing this with full knowledge that
there are market factors out there which may change at any moment and
the belief that we may see an additional tightening out of next FOMC.
Greater opportunities may be seen however, the current price seems
awful good to me and this morning, watching real time, IDPH rebounded
with surprising strength after being down a point. This was less than
a minute after I bought and was good news at least temporarily.
My thinking on IDEC is that clearly it is a good company with very
promising therapies coming to market. I am long and figure this is
an opportunity I don't want to miss so, even though I could wait for
cheaper valuations, there's nothing wrong with the current price and
no guarantee it will get significantly better although it's a
possibility. I've divided up what I intend to put into IDEC during this
situation and an putting it in a portion at a time with the intent of
"chasing it down". I am not margined and not worried particularly
about the "falling knife business". Just a patient investor who's
found a very promising biotech.
Again, the rebound today was surprising and I will be curious about the
close.
