What if I put down a vapor barrier, then foam insulation, then a plywood subfloor? Also, it is already carpeted, don't know what's under the carpet, although ultimately, of course, cement. Finally, the house is sorta set into a hill, the basement in the front of the house is enough above ground to have a window on the front left, and windows along that side, and full walk-out in the back, no steps, completely grade level in the back.
