I probably should have used the word fetus in that paragraph instead of child. And I was actually thinking along the lines of experiments on the fetus in the womb.

Let's say you were a real twisted person who worked in the medical field, and you collaborated with a colleague to test a drug you were working on. Let's say the drug showed promise in growing limbs. So you decide to test the theory and chop off the arm of the fetus, then inject the fetus with your experimental drug. Should that be legal since destroying the fetus is legal? Or perhaps it's not even your own fetus. Should you be able to advertise for such services?
