to anyone,

i've received a lot of kernel32.dll errors over time. running win95 and i've installed the kernel upgrade. but still the errors persist. from the messages i see on the newsgroups, it's a fairly common affliction.

today i came across a suggestion that i haven't tried and i'd like to know if anyone here has, or if they have an opinion on whether or not to try it. here's the suggestion:

"try to extract the original kernel32.dll from your win95 cd and copy it to c:windows/system, then reboot. it should fix the problem. also, the following url will show you how to find/extract/display windows files from an unknown cabinet."

support.microsoft.com

although the extraction is something i haven't done before, i'm thinking that this is just too easy to be a valid solution to an on-going thorn in the side problem.

any thoughts?

:)
