PB, This is why Intel may not drop the prices on the 600/650/700/733 speeds because if they cut those prices and AMD can only meet 10% of market demand then Intel bears 90% of the losses. Price competition works best between more or less equals, any other situation the higher volume seller gets the hit, as we have seen from the forgone profits of Intel in the last year or two. Sure they still made big money...but they left more on the table than they made in that time from their CPU business...all to kill AMD...a failed attempt. It looks like a rabid 'kill AMD' campaign that goes beyond economic logic took place.
