PB - Re: "JC's site makes the point that the "K8" isn't even taped out yet" No matter. It will still run at 5x Merced speed - whenever it does tape out. In fact, AMD is probably now SLOWING DOWN the K8 because it's multiple GHz speed grades won't be needed by IBM and Compaq for at least a year or more ! I heard a rumor that AMD is already building a new warehouse to "inventory" the multiple GHz K8's when they do come off the fab line. Paul
