Neo- I strongly disagree strongly. <<A sense of honor is one of the major motives for behaving well, because it attaches a high value to honesty, fair play, and doing one's part>> Honor is something that is bestowed upon someone or in the case you mention, someone seeking it. Compassion has just as much to do with regulating behavior in those traits you mentioned plus many more such as empathy, charity, caring, etc. Compassion is somethig that you do/have for someone else. It is an act of giving more than receiving. Mark the more I think about it, the more I think compassion is much more important than honor.
