Neo, I agree with you about liberals, compassion, and honor

But, I think that you pick too amourphous of an idea to contrast with compassion. Honor is not a real aspect, it is a symbol-idea-badge that we ascribe to a whole barrage of personal aspects, as your definition shows.

Instead of honor, I would have to say that compassion in and of itself is not good. Compassion is a reactionary and emotional response to a bad situation. It is loaded with emotional jerkers that short cut the tactical, scientific approach to problem solving.

When you think on emotion instead of on logic, you end up with fast response results that address the symptoms of a problems, and not the cause.

That is why every liberal vs. conservative joke is based on the premise that liberals try to make everyone feel good, and conservatives try to make everyone become better.

Unless the joke is from a liberal, then the conservative needs to a self absorbed jackel, looking to exploit anyone for personal gain.
