Michelle - Don't know about a bazillionaire like William, but for a working stiff, even a well paid one, Santa Monica prices are pretty much out of reach. I just moved here and the prices are way above Washington, D.C., which I did not expect. If you go farther south though, like San Clemente, you can do better.
