I do not find it shameful at all to say that I am a Christian
That's not all, I have good friends that are Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and other religions too.
So do I, (well prob. not Buddhists, there are not many of those in my part of the country...) I even have one friend that is a (shudder shudder) a......a.....libral.........there I said it. (he knows who he is) :o)
I always wonder how certain folks can believe certain things .(and to my detriment I argue about that too much.)
I also believe in what has always been called the great commission.
There is even an interesting story or two in the Bible about denying someone. Of course there are lots of interesting stories in the Bible.
I wonder if a forum for particular sayings of Jesus would work? Such as :
If I said ok here is a "saying of Jesus" :::
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
What would the answers be??
